Of the tour Taylor says, “I didn’t think I could be any more excited about my RED album, but then I start thinking about how I’m going to put the new show together for The RED Tour. I have so many ideas about how to really bring this music to life, and I can’t wait to share the new show with all my fans!”
Special Guests
Joining Taylor Swift on this amazing stadium tour, are Neon Trees, and Australia's own Guy Sebastian!
Neon Trees
Neon Trees will be joining Taylor Swift and Guy Sebastian on the Australian leg of her RED tour and will be the main support for the New Zealand shows.
Neon Trees’ lead single ‘Everybody Talks’ raced to #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and became the band’s second platinum single in Australia, charting in the Top 10 here.
Fresh from their own sold out headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, their announcement on the Taylor Swift tour is sure to delight their many Aussie fans. This won’t be the first time that Neon Trees and Taylor Swift have shared a stage however.
Taylor recently invited Neon Trees lead singer Tyler Glenn on stage with her during her RED Tour for a special performance of ‘Everybody Talks,” telling the New Jersey audience that she’d “called up one of my favourite lead singers from my favourite band to sing one of my favourite songs".
One of Australia’s greatest singers and performers Guy Sebastian will join Taylor for all Australian shows on her upcoming Red tour as the special guest.
With ten headline Australian tours, six platinum plus selling studio albums, a Greatest Hits and live DVD under his belt, Guy Sebastian needs no formal introduction.
During his career Sebastian has received 17 ARIA Awards nominations, including Single of the Year, Best Male Artist and Best Pop Release, winning Highest Selling Single ARIA Awards for "Angels Brought Me Here" and "Who's That Girl".
His now eight times platinum smash "Battle Scars" is Sebastian’s sixth number one single in Australia and went on to receive three 2012 ARIA Music Award nominations including Best Male Artist and Best Pop Release for "Battle Scars", and Song of the Year for "Don't Worry Be Happy".
Guy couldn’t be more pumped about the tour “I’m thrilled to be announced for the Australian leg of Taylor’s The Red Tour and I am looking forward to being part of a tour that has had fans so excited across the world.
Taylor’s such an incredible performer and I can’t wait to hit the road with her this December.” :D
