Justin broke down in uncontrollable tears while talking about Avalanna Routh, otherwise known as ‘Mrs. Bieber,’ in his new movie, ‘Believe.’ He met the inspiring girl in 2012, when he heard she was battling cancer, and he couldn’t hold back his emotions when sharing memories of her in the film.
Justin Bieber honored his “angel” super fan, “Mrs. Bieber” Avalanna Routh in his new film, Believe. He met the 6-year-old while she was fighting brain cancer, and she stayed in his memories ever since, even after her tragic passing in Sept. 2012. Justin dedicated a significant portion of his movie to her, and got really open and candid when explaining how special she was to him.
Justin Bieber ‘Believe’ Movie Honors Avalanna Routh: Justin Cries Over Memories
No one could have imagined how much of an impact little Avalanna would have on Justin.
Justin Bieber Cries Singing 'One Less Lonely Girl' To Avalanna
As his new film shows, Justin met Avalanna in Feb. 2012 after he learned that she was in the hospital fighting brain cancer — and she had a life-size cardboard cut-out of him in her room. Avalanna even tried to “marry” the cut-out to become Mrs. Bieber because she was such a fan!
Justin’s team thought his visit would be a quick meet and greet when he journeyed to see her, but Justin and Avalanna spent hours together, just talking and playing like they had known each other forever. When Justin recalled their first meeting during a sit-down interview in his Believe movie, he completely broke down in tears.
We’ve never seen Justin get so emotional before — and it’s a true testimony to Avalanna’s power that she left such a lasting impact on the pop star, who was lucky enough to be able to spend a few more special days with her before she died.
Justin Bieber Makes Avalanna Routh His ‘One Less Lonely Girl’
Justin made Avalanna his “One Less Lonely Girl”during a performance of his hit song right after her Sept. 2012 passing. As dedicated Beliebers know, Justin usually picks a lucky girl from the audience to come sit in a chair as he signs to her. For his tribute to Avalanna, he left the chair empty, put a whole slideshow of her photos on the big screen behind him, and sang directly to the screen...
Guess we all have our soft spot..
