Can I get a ‘P’ for ‘Poor Timing,’ Pat? ‘Wheel of Fortune’ aired a pre-taped episode on Dec. 2 that featured a ‘Fast and Furious’ puzzle, mere days after Paul Walker’s tragic death. The show and host Pat Sajek have apologized, calling the mishap an unfortunate coincidence.
Paul Walker‘s family, friends, and fans are still grieving the actor’s untimely death on Nov. 30, so it must have come as a shock when Wheel of Fortune aired a pre-taped episode that featured a Fast and Furious puzzle only two days after the car accident that claimed Paul’s life.
‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Apologizes For ‘Fast & Furious’ Puzzle
Investigators are still searching for the truth behind the tragic car crash that also claimed the life of Paul’s friend Roger Rodas, so Wheel of Fortune viewers were understandably unhappy when the Dec. 2 installment featured a The Fast and the Furious puzzle. The show’s PR wheel began spinning immediately after the episode aired, with the show’s official twitter account apologizing for and explaining the incident
“The hearts of everyone at Wheel of Fortune go out to the family, friends & fans of Paul Walker,” the Wheel of Fortune account continued.
The show’s famous host Pat Sajak also took to Twitter to apologize, saying“Feel terrible about timing of “Fast & Furious” puzzle tonight. Taped long ago & went out to 200 local stations days ago.”
It was an awful mistake, but we’re sure that Wheel of Fortune meant no harm by airing the episode.
Paul Walker’s Autopsy Schedule For Dec. 3
Meanwhile, Paul’s autopsy has been schedule for Dec. 3, which will hopefully bring some closure to Paul’s loved ones.
There is a chance, however, that the extent of Paul’s injuries may cause a delay.
“We are working on the identification issues concurrently,” the coroners office told E! Newson Dec. 2. “Both of the autopsies on the victims of that accident are on hold. We are probably holding off pending identification confirmation. The bodies have not been identified. The bodies have not yet been examined.”
Froshonly sends love and prayers to Paul’s family and friends during this horrible time.
