Did Ariana just put Nathan in the friend-zone?
In a new interview, the singer gave the impression that she’ll be ringing in 2014 as a single woman.
Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes have been a hot little item since recording their duet “Almost Is Never Enough” for the Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack back in August. The dynamic duo have been seen since cuddling backstage at concerts and supporting each other at performances, but some recent comments by Ariana to Florida’s 93.3 FLZ definitely make it seem like the pop-star love connection is no longer.
Ariana Grande Confirms She & Nathan Sykes Are Over
On Dec. 18, while in Florida to perform at Jingle Ball, FLZ radio host,Brian Fink, asked Ariana about she and The Wanted crooner, 20, to which she replied matter-of-factly, “You’re a little behind.”
Wow, that’s direct!

The “Baby I” singer followed up on this blast of news, telling Brian, “We’re really good friends,” according to E! News(the synopsis of the interview has since been removed from FLZ’s website).
Are you sad about Ariana and Nathan?
Okay, in any language I’m pretty sure that means it’s over, but hey, it’s great the couple are still friends! No sign there will be any breakup drama here, at least not for us to see.
Ariana Grande’s Tumultous Split From Ex, Jai Brooks
Unlike this presumably non-dramatic breakup from Nathan, Ariana’s previous split from Australian comedian and YouTube sensation, Jai Brooks, 18, was not so pretty.
In fact, Jai publicly accused Ariana of cheating on him with Nathan! Ariana did not take this news lying down, flying to Twitter to set the record straight: “I guess I shouldn’t be so surprised. You said to me if I didn’t come back to you, you’d make me look bad to the entire world…I’m no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore.”
Who knows what 2014 will bring, but it’s clear that Ariana is heading into the new year with her head held high!
So FroshDudes, are you sad that Ariana and Nathan broke up? Let us know!
